Category: Weekly Updates

Hmm... What do I have to report this week...?

I've, uh, got a lot done on MARDEK! I'm hoping to start sponsorship next weekend, after just doing some last fixes to obvious missing things or bugs. While it's being sponsored - and again, I say, I don't know how long that'll take - I'll finish off the rest of the things that need fixing.
So hopefully it won't be long now until it's FINALLY out! Though I've been saying that for so long now without any results that I won't be at all surprised if most of you just ignore it... o_O

I wish I could give you a specific release date, though, but I can't due to the nature of the sponsorship process...
Some games take longer to sponsor than others; it depends on the interest in the game. I anticipate interest in MARDEK 3 being high, but this could lead to quite a bit of competitive bidding, which I'd leave for a while to try to get the highest offer. Also, since it's an extremely long game to play through, some sponsors might not put in a bid until they've finished testing it...
I do want to get the game out as soon as possible, so I sort of want to just rush the sponsorship stuff, but I know that it really wouldn't be wise, after all these years of work; I should be patient and try to get the best price and best sponsor and stuff...

So, uh... yes. I'll probably just be saying the same thing in most news articles until it's out...

Apart from that, uh... I got a Wii, apparently. Or rather... I've ordered one, but it's not arrived yet. I got it for the sake of getting that Wii Fit thing, which will be so useful for me because it's a way to exercise *without leaving my house*, since it's difficult for me to leave my house in general for loads of psychological reasons. Hopefully with more physical exercise, I'll feel better in general all the time and I'll get more work done and stuff.

I've also got a Playstation 3, which I got when I was with my girlfriend, solely to play the game Final Fantasy XIII... Perhaps I should get more games for each of these consoles at some points...
Hmm... I used to think I'd completely miss out on this current generation of consoles, that I had no interest in them, and now I have two of them (I have a DS too, but wouldn't count that as a 'console')...

Unfortunately, I can't think of anything more exciting than that to mention, really! So, uh... I'll just end this rather boring post here, I suppose.

It's quite annoying how people automatically rate a yellow "just because". I read most of the badly rated comments and they didn't seem too bad to me.

A very good game would be Fallout 3 for the Playstation 3 because it's one of those few games where you can "choose" whether you want to be good, neutral, or evil. You can also make many decisions about people. You get these things called "perks" or traits, they give you many useful things like: Increased damage, charisma for persuading people, increased defense, a guardian, karma changes, radiation defense, increased accuracy, and many more. The game is about you being born 200 years after a nuclear war. Your father leaves the special underground safe type thing called a vault (Many were built before the war, and generations of families lived inside the vaults). So, you too escape the vault and try to find your father, and help him. This is the main quest/story. However, there are many side quests you can go on, and you can also by "add-on"s for it which either increase the length of the main quest or lets you visit other locations. Personally, I think it is a fantastic game that is well thought out. Basically, it's a futuristic version of "Oblivion" (If you've played it.). So, that's why I myself think Fallout 3 is an awesome choice for a PS3 game. Also, I can't wait until Fall because they will come out with Fallout 4 (By "they" I mean Bethesda Softworks). They come out in Fall because of the pun, as in Fall-out.

And you hurt people and it's generally highly action. And you can see all the gory mess in cinematic camera with the VATS system!

...he doesn't like that sort of games.

Oh, alright, sorry. I'm not new to this site, but I rarely read the comments, and I just recently worked up the nerve to make a profile.

for games on the PS3, i recommend Dragon Age: Origins (i have the 360 one, but thats beside the point), InFamous, Folklore, Valkria Chronicles, maybe Cross Edge, and Lair (screw what everyone else says, i had fun with it when i rented it.

Well, it's about being a girl called Faith who does 'illegal postal service' as in delivering things. And it's illegal, so people try to stop her. However, she usually runs or fights without weapons, as even though she can pick a gun up it bogs her down and her mobility is her biggest asset. Or so.

...well, he might like it. Yes.

awesome, just one thing I would like to point out for the wii, you can buy the old classic games like mario 3 and such, I'd suggest getting those if your into it and if I may recommend a game, I'd suggest also getting cavestory just because the wii made it so much better with the new game modes and the improved graphics, so yeh, awesome you got a wii. And good luck with FFXIII I heard its a bitch to beat later on.

I've got a few things I'd like to say (in a good way)
I'm very excited about Mardek, I know it'll be awesome :D

Also I think you made a good choice with the consoles as with Wii you can still have the old school games that you love (but you probably knew that) and the PS3 can offer some great games.I would like to point out that FFXIII, while an amazing game, is a bit different from the other final fantasy's in the terms of its linearity

Oh and um, just wanted to say your doing a great job :D...... :D
