Since people seem to like me writing news update things, uh, I'm doing that now even though I have nothing significant to say.
I'm still working on MARDEK 3, and I actually finished something on it yesterday that I've been meaning to do for MONTHS (it's some secret character, who was going to be in chapter 2 but wasn't because I kept putting off adding it...), so now I feel a whole lot closer to completion even though I'm, uh, not.
I was also working on Beast Signer and FHO a few days ago, but haven't been doing since then due to lack of motivation and being ill (which was annoying). I might get back to those soon, but currently I feel like working on MARDEK 3 only, so I'll try to do that until my motivation to do so runs out again, since I want to get MARDEK 3 done as soon as I can.

Oh, I know what I can write! I'll give you specifics on each game; what I need to do, what I've done, etc.

First, MARDEK 3.
MARDEK 3 will include a whole load of dungeons, and 11 characters, including Mardek himself; six of which are optional, and four of those are 'secret'... Adding all of these characters - the dialogue and quests to get them, their battle models and animations, their skills, equipment, and in many cases their Theme Music, takes a long time, especially since some of the characters have skills unlike any of the characters so far...
Also, I didn't much like how characters like Zach and Vehrn were so... one-dimensional in chapter 2; you barely got to talk to them or know anything about them at all. So I'm adding into this new engine the ability to start up a conversation with any of your party members at any time, and ask them things about their past, their feelings, what you should do at that point in the game if you're stuck or want their opinion, etc. I know I like it when games allow you to do that, and I imagine other people do too. It'll be completely optional, of course.
There are a lot of dungeons that I still need to do. There are, uh... about ten in chapter 3, and I've only made about four so far... I've been focusing on other things - like non-dungeon areas - which is why so many are left to do. They shouldn't take all that long - I can make a dungeon in a day or two if I really focus on it - but getting the motivation to work on tilesets is really hard for some reason.
I'm redoing the particle effects when you cast spells. I haven't even started on that yet, but it's something that's been on my To Do List for a long time. Maybe I should finally do it...
I've also altered the animations in battle, like I did with Beast Signer. This is because I first made MARDEK on an old, slow computer, so the animations when you moved to attack an enemy seemed alright in their pacing. Now, however, they happen in the blink of an eye on my computer, and it looks ridiculous. I've made animations slower and smoother, but this means that I need to REDO the attack animations for every battle model in the game; that's a lot of player characters and monsters. I hate animating, so I keep putting this off. It's a big thing that I'll need to do before release though.
I also need to do quite a bit of music. Already, CHAPTER 3 has more new music than chapter 2, because I keep composing character themes which are probably 'unnecessary', but I like them anyway. Music composing is difficult and hard to 'predict', because sometimes I can compose three pieces I need in a day (I did two yesterday), and other times I can work on one particular piece that I need for weeks - trying from scratch several times - but nothing sounds good enough. A few of the pieces I need to do are like this. There were a few pieces in chapter 2 that I just 'couldn't do, no matter how many times I tried', too, but I've actually finished those now so they're in the 'remake' of chapter 2 that I'll be including in Chapter 3's file.
There's a lot of dialogue left to do as well, and that doesn't come easily to me since I'm hardly a good writer... I'm not a Writer at all. I get the feeling that a lot of the writing may be poor, but... eh. I'll wait to see what other people have to say. (Though it'll be much like the writing of the other chapters, I suppose, so if you thought that was passable, you'll probably not loathe this...)
I've also been planning to add a 'card' game to MARDEK, which I sort of half-finished then left... I suppose I need to finish that as well, or not include it... again. (I meant to add it as early as chapter 1, but didn't for all sorts of reasons...)
So, there's a lot left to do, you see. What I HAVE done is more than what I HAVEN'T done, but still. If I really work hard on it, it shouldn't take more than a month - or two at most - but the thing is that I DON'T work hard on things because I just can't 'force' myself sometimes if I'm 'not in the mood'. And since I'm self-employed, I can just procrastinate whenever without anyone disciplining me, so it gets difficult to get work done with any kind of predictability or consistency. Some days I'll work on a game from morning until night and get loads done, other days I'll just sort of look at it and browse the internet, getting nothing done...

So, uh, that's MARDEK 3. I doubt that the end of December is a reasonable release date, but... let's see what happens.

As for Beast Signer...
I've started redoing the engine like I did with MARDEK a while ago, for the same reasons; I said this in the other news article. It shouldn't take too long to finish redoing the engine like this, since I'm using a lot of code from MARDEK's new engine, and it's usually graphics that take the longest time, but I'm just reusing the ones from the existing version...
I just haven't got around to working on it much though. So far, walking around and talking to people work, as do some of the menus, but battles don't at all. The menus are smoother, and the walking around somehow feels like it is too, and there are less bugs, and I'm going to make combat look somewhat different. It'll work in much the same way, but with a slightly different GUI.
Also, in the existing version, the player is mostly a Silent Protagonist, and you just listen to other characters prattle on, if anyone ever talks at all. I'm considering changing this so then it's more like D&D-based CRPGs, like Baldur's Gate or Neverwinter Nights or things like that, where you have a Lawful/Chaotic Good/Evil alignment, and you talk to people in depth with lots of questions that you choose yourself, which affect your alignment based on your decisions... I am unsure whether it would work with a game like Beast Signer, but it might be interesting to try, giving more involvement than games like Pokemon, perhaps.
I'm not going to update the old version currently on the site, even to fix bugs, but this new version will hopefully replace it 'soon'... once I get tired of working on MARDEK 3 and switch back to working on it.

FHO is, uh... I have nothing much to report about that. It's coming along slowly. Most of the Editor works now, but there's still a lot left to do.

So there you go. That's how I'm doing in regards to games. Now, to get back to MARDEK 3...

There is a bug in beast signer all my save's where deleted in my best save i whas going to save i had noticed a bug when i tried to have alot of saves where ever i save in my best save all the saves in front of them will delete and some pretty good one's so can you fix that bug before i lose all my save's!

Very well. Few people can go farther and further than you, and make better things in your field of work. Because you are talented, truly. I like your way of doing stuff, and many people do too. (Don`t you think that.. that makes you more important, but also more careful? If you are given something that attracts others and makes them pleased, you should keep it and develop it - that is not only your wish, but also some kind of duty, I suppose.) And you are liked by others just like you are, without any special requests. Well, not by everyone, but by pretty thousand, at least. / The way you write your stories is overwhelming. Surprisingly, they are full of wisdom.. though this is your own wisdom, arguable.. but it`s useful. Oh, and full of humour! (Well, if I do like something, I like it very much, almost love - that is to say, I feel that such feelings give me power; I don`t want to lose myself, so I act like that.)
I think you`ve meant six optional characters, of which four are secret - am I right?
However, there is still much to do. Go ahead! ~~~...

there is a bug in beast signer if you go to a shop and buy something or not buy something (it does not matter) you cant open the menu right away you will have to wait and meaby do something to wait

what i meant is, he said he is self employed so that means his job is these flash games meaning he does not have any other JOB so how does he support himself i ask again because unless he lives in his mom's house (omg hes 20) he cant support himself....

No, download Flash Player *9* and not 8, because I think version 8 was the one that caused the game to experience random crashes for no apparent reason...
