MARDEK RPG: Chapter 2Other Games

Screenshots

This is the revamped version of chapter 2, using chapter 3's engine. The original version was released back in 2007, and it's how a lot of people got to this site.

It's a rather long, in-depth RPG; probably about 4 to 10 hours of play time in total. Mardek has grown up since Chapter 1, and become a 'Royal Guard'... but due to the Annunaki spirit residing in his body, his life is about to get a lot more difficult!

Boss Walkthrough 3 (The Cambria Arena Champions, The World Saviours 2 - Moric 2):

The Cambria Arena Champions Bartholio, Aalia, Vennie and Bernard (The World Saviours 2)

Recommended Armor:

Mardek: Keyblade, Kite Shield, Bonemail, Kettle Hat, misc.
Deugan: Burial Sword, Bandit Leather, misc.
Emela: Lightning Rod, Kite Shield, Green Robe, Hat, misc.
Zach: Twin Trilobites, Trilobite Armour, FirePendant, misc.

Recommended Skills:

Mardek: M Shield, Remove Taint, Shield, Locomotion (optional)
Deugan: Power Attack, Earth Slash, Barrier Break, Spiritblade, Boost, Locomotion (optional)
Emela: Bubble, Stonesplosion, Flame, M+Poison 20%, Resist EARTH, M+Stun 20%, Locomotion (optional)
Zach: Soulstrike, Crescendo Slash, Resist WATER, Sure Slash, (for mastering it only) Locomotion (optional)

Kind of the same as before, but it'll be slightly harder with Zach in. Be COMPLETELY sure that Zach has his FirePendant, the Trilobite Armour, and the Resist WATER Passive equipped. Then it should be less hard. You can use the normal attack on anyone except Vennie, where it will still deal damage, but will barely effect. And, now having Spiritblade and Boost on Deugan, it should be a piece of cake.

-

Dracelon

Recommended Armor:

Mardek: Keyblade, Kite Shield, Bonemail, Kettle Hat, misc.
Deugan: Ancient Sword, Bandit Leather, misc.
Emela: Same
Zach: Same

Recommended Skills:

Mardek: M Shield, Remove Taint, Shield, Locomotion (optional)
Deugan: Power Attack, Boost, Locomotion (optional)
Emela: Resist EARTH, M+Stun 20%, Locomotion (optional)
Zach: Berserk, Soulstrike, Crescendo Slash, QUARRY: UNDEAD, Locomotion (optional)

The reason you have to use Keyblade and Ancient Sword is because Dracelon has Light resistance, which was probably done for insured safety, or something. Yet it's still weird. Anyway, for Emela, just have her use Lightning Bolt, as Dracelon has resistance to the other four natural elements, and gets healed by Earth elemental attacks. Before Deugan uses Power Attack just ONCE, have him use at least ONE Boost. It'll help greatly. And for Zach, once again, you have a choice between using Berserk with the Soulstrike and QUARRY: UNDEAD reactions, or using Crescendo Slash with just QUARRY: UNDEAD. And for Mardek, M Shield and Shield are optional, as the attacks Dracelon doesn't generally cause high damage. But it's highly recommended, as you have to be ready for the worst.

-

Moric 2

Recommended Armor:

Mardek: Champion Sword, Kite Shield, Bonemail, Kettle Hat, GreenBeads (x2)
Deugan: Burial Sword, Geojacket, Kettle Hat, GoldRing, OnyxRing
Emela: Lightning Rod, Kite Shield, Green Robe, Hat, OnyxRing (x2)
Zach: Twin Trilobites, Trilobite Armour, Kettle Hat, GreenBeads, OnyxRing

Recommended Skills:

Mardek: M Shield, Remove Taint, Shield, Vim, Purity
Deugan: Power Attack, Barrier Break, Spiritblade, Boost, Resist EARTH
Emela: Flame, M+Poison 20%, M+Stun 20%
Zach: Berserk, Soulstrike, Crescendo Slash, QUARRY: UNDEAD

Just do the same strategy in the wiki. However, it will be slightly different, as Zach will be in the party instead of Vehrn.

Finished.

Um, have you never thought about wrapping your walkthrus in spoilers?
For 2 reasons: because they ARE spoilers; and they take so much space.
Otherwise, great.

Boss Walkthrough 2 (Zombie Warrior 2 - Moric 2)

Zombie Warrior 2

Recommended Armor:

Mardek: Keyblade, Bronze Shield, Bonemail, Kettle Hat, misc.
Deugan: Ancient Sword, Bandit Leather, misc.
Emela: Flame Rod, Bronze Shield, Geojacket, Hat, misc.
Zach: Boneslicer, Breastplate, FirePendant, misc.

Recommended Skills:

Mardek: Shield
Deugan: Power Attack, Spiritblade
Emela: Flame
Zach: Crescendo Slash, QUARRY: UNDEAD

Same thing as before, but as Zach hasn't leveled up for a while, watch his HP closely. Especially after the Zombie Warrior goes berserk.

-

Moric

Recommended Armor:

Mardek: Same
Deugan: Same
Emela: Same
Zach: Same

Recommended Skills:

Mardek: M Shield, Remove Taint, Vim
Deugan: Power Attack, Barrier Break, Spiritblade
Emela: Same
Zach: Berserk, Soulstrike, Crescendo Slash, QUARRY: UNDEAD

Moric starts with Auto-M Shield and Auto-Shield, so take out the Shield with Deugan's Barrier Break. But, Moric gets healed by Dark-elemental attacks, so don't use the reaction. When it's Mardek's turn, put an M Shield starting with the one with the lowest amount of HP, in preparation of the Arcane Cataclysm. (Possibly Emela or Zach.) Moric starts the battle by using Animate Dead. If you want 100% completion of the Bestiary, I recommend killing the zombies for the Fallen Soldier and Ghoul entries. I recommended killing the zombies anyway for EXP. Have Emela use Flame and Lightning Bolt. When there are more Darks than Earths in Moric's "party", use Flame. When there are more Earths than Darks, use Lightning Bolt. For Zach, you have a choice between using Crescendo Slash or using Berserk with Soulstrike and QUARRY: UNDEAD equipped as reactions. When everyone has an M Shield, just have Mardek attack. And, if one of your partners dies, don't worry, as Moric will revive him/her with full HP and MP by using Zombify. Just use a HolyWater or use Mardek's Remove Taint to unzombify your partner. If Mardek dies, that's no problem as Moric will Zombify him, like usual. Just have the Vim Passive equipped or the Bonestone on him so Mardek doesn't attack his partners. You'll be done soon.

-

Zombie Dragon

Recommended Armor:

Mardek: Keyblade, Kite Shield, Bonemail, Kettle Hat, misc.
Deugan: Same
Emela: Flame Rod, Kite Shield, Geojacket, Hat, misc.
Zach: Same

Recommended Skills:

Mardek: M Shield, Remove Taint, Shield, Vim, Antibody (optional), Purity (optional), Insomnia (optional), Bright Eyes (optional)
Deugan: Power Attack, Spiritblade
Emela: Same
Zach: Same

This doesn't require any strategy, but you'll need high HP, high defense, and a LOT of status condition healing expendables.

Boss Walkthrough 1 (Muriance - Zombie Warrior 1):

Muriance

Recommended Armor:

Mardek: CopperRing, Cog Necklace, Bronze Sword (optional)
Deugan: CopperRing, SilverPendant, Tectonic Sword (optional)

Before battle, have Deugan equip a SilverPendant, as he is weak to Air. It doesn't effect his weakness to it, but it will have some resistance against Muriance's magic. And as for Mardek, it's best that at least 1 party member is awake, to wake up Deugan, Emela and Steele (do them in the order of their turns), so equip the Cog Necklace on Mardek. Another good reason is that Mardek is the only one with a healing "attack" that is not very limited. Anyway, As said, it is optional to get the better swords, but only equip Deugan's when he has mastered Power Attack. But, since it's likely you'll be so far in the mine by time you master it, forget about it. But, if you like grinding, go ahead. Anyway, for the battle, it'll be simple. Mardek heals and attacks, Deugan uses Power Attack or Earth Slash, Emela uses Bubble, and Steele uses Fierce Strike. You'll be done in no time.

POP!

Lake Hag

Recommended Armor:

Mardek: Bronze Sword, Bronze Shield, Copper Breastplate, misc.
Deugan: Tectonic Sword, Copper Breastplate, misc.
Emela: Earth Rod, Wooden Shield, Bandit Leather, Hat, misc.

Recommended Skills:

Deugan: Earth Slash
Emela: Stonesplosion, M+Poison 20%

T_T Mardek heals and attacks, Deugan uses Earth Slash, Emela uses Stonesplosion. If Poison inflicts, you'll win the fight faster. Yay.

POP!

The World Saviours

Recommended Armor:

Mardek: Iron Sword, Breastplate, Bronze Shield, Cog Necklace/Snakestone, misc.
Deugan: Iron Greatblade, Breastplate, Cog Necklace/Snakestone, misc.
Emela: Fire Rod, Bronze Shield, Bandit Leather, Hat, misc.
Vehrn: Current armor

Recommended Skills:

Mardek: M Shield, Remove Taint
Deugan: Power Attack, Earth Slash, Barrier Break
Emela: Bubble, Stonesplosion, Flame, M+Poison %20
Vehrn: Smite Evil

Just follow the strategy shown in the wiki. But don't bother using Zach in the battle. Don't worry, he'll be useful soon.

POP!

Canonia Shaman

Recommended Armor:

Mardek: Same
Deugan: Same
Emela: Same
Vehrn: Same

Recommended Skills:

Mardek: M Shield
Deugan: Power Attack
Emela: Flame
Vehrn: Same

Luckily for me, this is an easy boss.

POP!

Zombie Locksmith

Recommended Armor:

Mardek: Mace, Bronze Shield, Bonemail, Kettle Hat, misc.
Deugan: Ancient Sword, Bandit Leather, misc.
Emela: Flame Rod, Bronze Shield, Geojacket, Hat, misc.
Vehrn: Mace, Bronze Shield, Breastplate, misc.

Recommended Skills:

Mardek: Remove Taint, Shield
Deugan: Power Attack, Spiritblade
Emela: Flame
Vehrn: Disrupt Undead, QUARRY: UNDEAD

When he uses one of his locks and it inflicts a status condition, just use Remove Taint or an item. Have Mardek put up Shields for everyone so the locks will do less damage, so you'll have a higher chance of winning. Have Deugan user Spiritblade until he runs out of MP. That's when you can either restore it or use Power Attack. For Emela and Vehrn, just have them do their attack, unless someone needs healing and Mardek already took his turn. That's when you use a Potion.

POP!

Zombie Warrior (1)

Recommended Armor:

Mardek: Keyblade, Bronze Shield, Bonemail, Kettle Hat, misc.
Deugan: Same
Emela: Same
Vehrn: Same

Recommended Skills:

Mardek: Shield
Deugan: Same
Emela: Same
Vehrn: Same

For this battle, you'll need high defense and high HP. That's the only hard thing about it.

POP!

Continued later.

WHAT THE HECK?! I put lines to separate the sections, but they got replaced with "POPS!" Is it to remove unnecessary stuff?

"POP!" is used to replace a long string of letters. I didn't know that it would affect lines as well, but it seems it does. Anyway, at least we can still see where the new sections start. So it's not all bad.

Well, I remember my first playthrough. I didn't even think about the Trilobite keys till the next chapter, then realized it may have been a good idea to get the...uh, [SPOILER]. Then I went through a second time, and found nearly everything. Much of it was pretty embarrassingly easy to get, I just didn't think to look. Well, I suppose we all do that at times. Just a lesson to be learned, I think...

If you mean at the end of the catacombs, then it's not your fault at all. After you defeat Moric, the game sends you back to the castle automatically. So please don't feel bad; there's nothing you could've really done differently.

Wow, thank you so much! Now I'll have to go all the way back through the catacombs, then? Wow, how did anyone ever find that darn room? You can't even see an entrance from where you stand in the moric battle...

I really, really want to say something here.
If I complete this chapter and move on to Chapter 3 and do that as well, do you think that when the new site Pseudolonewolf is planning to make, will be made, I will be able to resume my saved games from that site?
Answer please.
By the way, this game rocked. I'm playing it again. Yay!

The same saved games can be used for any site that you play the game on. It can even be loaded on downloaded .swf files. You just need to locate the Flash Player folder and move the .sol files around to different sites.

For example, if you want to play on Kongregate, the .sol files will have to be under the chat.kongregate.com folder. If you want to play here, the files will have to be under www.fighunter.com. For playing offline, it's localhost, and so on. Therefore to play on the new site, just locate the name of the folder for the new site and copy your .sol files over.

No, not really. The only way to speed it up is through using the Double AP Passive Skill only available in Chapter 3. But, the Fumerats in the first area of the Goznor Sewers are very easy to defeat in Chapter 2. If you grind there, that could be considered as a way to get all the skills faster. But, you can only master Physical Attack, Physical Defense, Magical Attack and Passive Skills there. To master Magical Defense easy, go to Canonia Woods.

In chapter 2? Well, you need to get all the items with the skills, and then... well, you grind. Alas, in chapter 2, there's no speeding it up. To get reaction skills, you have to use those attacks and defenses, and use said reactions. Get in a lot of battles to learn passive skills or just use active skills and such. So yes, that's the only way to do it.

With chapter 3, you can speed it up, but it uses the same process. Please know, however, that it takes 100 hours, roughly, of fairly solid grinding in order to get *all* the skills learned... and even then, some skills are harder to learn.
