MARDEK RPG: Chapter 2Other Games

Screenshots

This is the revamped version of chapter 2, using chapter 3's engine. The original version was released back in 2007, and it's how a lot of people got to this site.

It's a rather long, in-depth RPG; probably about 4 to 10 hours of play time in total. Mardek has grown up since Chapter 1, and become a 'Royal Guard'... but due to the Annunaki spirit residing in his body, his life is about to get a lot more difficult!

Mardek and Deugan have gained 3 levels in 8 years. They obviously have put in a lot of effort into grinding

Not exactly. If you play chapter 1 first, it is possible to finish the chapter anywhere from level 1 to level 20+. In my personal game I finished it with both characters on level 3

Heh funny comment. I never seem to understand humorous comments are rated down even if its a funny way of saying they like the game or something. its perfectly natural to talk this if they feel like it. It's a neutral comment really and so is this one I never seem to find any offensive I just find it mean to rate funny comments down in such a way. Please don't rate this one down either because I'm only trying to prove a point here. Please feel free to reply if there is logic as to why these comments are voted down; I respect all your ideas and opinions so feel free to reply.

Most of the comments like this are voted down because they defy what Pseudo wants on this site. I'm pretty sure Pseudo doesn't like having people n this site who are spewing nonsense in their post until the clear idea of the post becomes unclear.

Just a tip... SPARE GOPE! You will regret it for this chapter and the chapters to come. He retreats to the inn with a trilobyte key after you spare him. This unlocks the Cambrian arena, which you can also play in chapter 3 for the best items. Also, Gope becomes a traveling salesman in chapter 3.

Well you can still go to Cambria in Chapter 3 whether you kill or spare him, but you'll just miss out on the merch he sells(I.E. the extra Emerald and Sapphire Bangles). You can buy the Trilobite keys in the Aeropolis Slums from a guy who says he sells antiques. You can also get Zach's Boneslicer from the same fellow.

That is true. Also,Gope sells damaging one-time-use items,like Alchemist's Fire,Liquid Lightning,Bottle 'o Acid,and Really Cold Water.

Does anyone know what the last artefact in the Encyclopedia is?

If I'm not mistaken, the last artifact is the Ether Crystal. You can gain information about it and add it to the Encyclopedia from one of the Trilobites' house's bookcases in Cambria (Trilobite Cave).

Can anyone tell me where to find the fourth trilo key? And was Gope one of the bandits from the beginning of the game? I can't find him in the mines anywhere. Thank you to anyone who responds to this

First, the bad news: you should have saved the Gope. He gives you the Trilobite Key IV in the Goznor inn after the Mining mission, and acts as some type of travelling shop in MARDEK 3. (See what happens when you use unnecessary violence?)
Now, the good news: there's still hope! I believe you can buy the Trilobite Keys in a shop in MARDEK 3. You can also always restart the game or use previous saves, and if you start over, and you have not done so, you can also put the Tunic from Chapter 1 in the item storage to carry it over to Chapter 2. It's for no reason -- just a memory....

[Please note that I haven't played MARDEK 3 yet -- I looked around the Fig Hunter wiki.] [LINK]

First, I didn't kill him, I just didn't know where to find him (such is the case when I skip dialogue). Thank you though, I will head straight to the inn and see him.

This game just got 50% easier.
Or maybe it's because I didn't play with reactions before as it was to hard to react?

I think that you should practice more of the reactions' timings.
As you go along fighting with those, they become second nature (or something like that).
Also, that was probably a rhetorical question.

The key that Gope gives you is the "Trilobite IV key" this is one of the trilobite keys, as the name implies. There are four total, the one Gope gives you being the final one. The first one is in some water next to a skeleton in the Tainted Grotto, the second key is randomly dropped by a zombie in Canonia, the third key is found in the deepest depths of the Goznor catacombs, in a chamber beyond the chamber where you fight Moric, in a casket.

The trilobite cave is located in the Eastern part of the Eastern glens, just west of Lake Qur. The forth section of the Trilobite cave, the part unlocked by the key Gope gives you, is Cambria. Cambria is a village of sentient trilobites. The are all sorts of things there to do, so it's really worth fighting through the rest of the cave to get to it. You also find a lot of great treasure along the way.

The stripe is the reaction bar. To activate it, you press "X" on the golden part of the bar, and it activates the skills chosen from the "Skills" menu. Note that there are different categories for attacks, defenses, magic attacks, magic defenses, and passive effects that don't involve the reaction bar. Also note that there are different skills for different characters. If you still don't understand, just read the "Help" section on the menu.
