I chose V because I saw the poll while logged out, and V was looking lonely. After checking what V meant, it seemed a curious thing that this would be the least popular option, considering there are quite a number of people who act like V's for whatever the reason may be. Though to be fair I suppose they don't hang out here, as they would find Psuedolonewolf to be way too annoying. ;)

I couldn't stand to walk at such a slow pace for more than about two levels considering the combat was only serviceable up to that point. It didn't feel like it brought anything to the genre (whatever genre it might be), but for a first 'true' game it's pretty good. Unfortunately 'pretty good' is not enough to make me play through it when my character walks slower than I can crawl backwards in real life. This is not the way to extend gameplay.

Perhaps not rotting in the ground, but I thought people who took their own life go to hell? I know it's kind of lacking in tact for me to bring it up like this, but there never was and never will be a positive side to suicide, and even for the faithful there is no good reason to believe he's in a better place now than he was before. As for why God allowed this to happen, it's because God allegedly gave people the ability to choose. God does not pull the strings on everyone's life, and so he can't be blamed for someone choosing to end his or her own life. I'm speaking a bit outside my area of expertise, but you might want to consider finding out more about what your beliefs mean. Sorry if any of that came off as insulting, it wasn't the intent at all.

I voted 'somewhat', because generally if I'm talking to people (especially people I'm not already friends with), I just tend to speak tactfully without really thinking about it. I generally use the best term or phrase available to explain something, so I'm not going to go inventing awkward-sounding words or phrases to represent something that's not PC, nor do I jump others if they say something non-PC to me or someone else. Usually I'd say things like 'dammit', 'crap', and 'oh my god' without giving it a thought if I'm around friends or people who know me. I have no problem calling someone black if that's their race, although I don't usually have a need to. Even though it's not very "mature", I still speak of things being 'gay' or 'retarded' when talking with good friends if I know it doesn't bother them.

And thus ends my PC life story.

Absolutely.

That would've been a fitting end to my response. I am notorious for over-complicating my answers to simple questions. Some times it's funny, sometimes it's annoying, but all of those times I can't really help it. xD

Because we can't get into the minds of people and really know what they can do/ what they think, it's quite impossible to make a thorough investigation into whether we're better than other people or not. What we can judge with some success is actions taken, things accomplished, interpersonal relationships, and contribution to society/humanity. In these I'm probably around average, but given my intelligence and potential (as perceived by others), my code of ethics, and not allowing emotions to control me, I suppose I'm better than average. At least that's what I've been led to believe by people who've known me (and I'm not talking about my parents/grandparents/etc). I don't know if I'll ever end up using that to be more than average in my mark on the world...

The concept sounds a bit grandiose for a platformer, but I know you don't make half-assed games. Despite some doubts, I trust the game will be fun when you finish it. Good luck with the level creation.

People are okay. The larger the group, the more likely the individuals are likely to lose their virtues in its context. As a general rule, most people are pretty good. You shouldn't really set expectations or high standards of people (if you want something done right, you've gotta do it yourself) but people can be good/interesting company, fun to spend time with, and a way to move up in the world. That being said I'm not really drawn to people and don't go out of my way to meet with them, and I've never really let anyone get too close, but people in general still have the potential for a lot more good than bad. The world is developing after all, and not standing still.

You really beat yourself up too much. As far as I can tell you manage pretty well for yourself, and you entertain a lot of people in the process for very long times. I know the 'I haven't checked my email in too long and there's probably a bunch of people there who want responses, but the longer I put it off, the harder it will be to check it" feeling, I've had to deal with it quite a bit in the past. This is the part where I'd have some great tip for dealing with it, but I never really came up with anything other than changing my system so I'd have to read less emails, or not letting myself get too far behind. You could try breaking up the email reading/responding into 'x emails per session' and break the sessions up into several times throughout the day, reading/responding to more emails if you're feeling motivated to.

If you don't have anything you'd rather be doing, you don't need a vacation. What you need is to relax and find some way to get the stress and pressure off of you. Maybe try a new hobby, something you could casually do that could keep your mind off of things for a little.

As far as I'm concerned, you've done more than enough for everyone here, to whom you really owe nothing to. We appreciate the work you do, and only the foolish amongst us would actually blame you for not being productive 24/7. Just do what you're willing, and keep using that great head on your shoulders; I'm sure the results will turn out great. I'll bet you've had about a thousand people telling you this, but all signs point to you winning $1500 on top of whatever you've already earned from Mardek 3. It's not going to buy you a new car, but it'll sure keep you fed for a while, so cut yourself some slack.

I could just sit here and listen to the Arena Battle theme all day. Now it looks like I might be able to actually leave my house with it! I mean sure this is a laptop... but! It's not fun to open up your laptop in the middle of nowhere just so you can listen to music.
