That minority would happen to be me. Especially in my town, which is full of white-trash idiots.

Usually, I will write something or other that seems good, and then suddenly realize that there isn't a really good reason to post it, and it should be left alone. I don't do it all the time, since I'm pretty good about figuring it out before I write, but sometimes that happens, yes.

I take it you're not a writer.

When you create a character, you're making a person, all his thoughts, his hopes and dreams. You don't just throw it all to the wind and make an entirely different person, with the same name and face-- It doesn't work that way.

A couple more concrete reasons I can think of are that a crotchety old man wouldn't really *be* a rookie archaeologist, since he wouldn't have the same enthusiasm, and he'd likely believe that he wouldn't have the time left to actually become good at it. Having Francis be the rookie would also take away some of the things that make that option more attractive, like easier dialogue, and the ability do, in a sense, become the character, Silent protagonists are great plot devices that can take some of the distance away between the player and the game-- You might have noticed that it was one of the things that Bioshock did really well.

Also, the main motive of Francis (as far as I could know) was to discover the real reason that Fracture, well, fractured. That would be at least as solid a motive for a young archaeologist to follow, and it would make the internal conflict a lot easier to write.

Yes, Francis sounded like a great character. Yes, he had a great backstory and I was looking forward to playing as him. The thing is, the game wasn't working with him at the helm, and Pseudo is looking to fix whatever problem it is.

If I were to become famous, I'd probably not do it as myself-- I'd become someone else, something else. I've always felt some kind of need to fight against the people who put me where I am, the people that make millions by keeping the poor from rising, keeping the rich in butter. Bad things are happening in this world-- Some of them are acts of nature, nobody's fault, but more often than not, there is someone to blame. I've felt for a while now that the United States needs to throw away all of the politicians, lobbyists, and break the corporate hold on political growth. The American people have the power to do this, to impeach every one of the corrupt, incompetent idiots that are kept in power by the people with the money. If I were to get fame, it would be by making people know this, and by my attempts to break the filter of ignorance that so many in this country hear through.

I must be the minority, here, in that I am not fazed in the slightest by either gore or pornography-- I've been to 4chan, I've seen the worst of both. I actually find it ridiculous that both sex and violence are so puritanically censored in the U.S.

Sex is a major part of any society, anywhere, period. Trying to take it out is the same as trying to take out drugs, alcohol, smoking, or what have you, and will never work. Sex is also a part of history, in a big way. If you look for motives in half of people's actions, sex is in there somewhere. Yet, people will shelter their children from the slightest knowledge about sex, as if *knowing* what to do, why, and what happens afterwards makes you any more likely to go and *do* it. Sex is life, simply put, and omitting any mention of it from society isn't helping anybody.

Violence is *almost* as prevalent in society, some definitely more than others. Up until the end of World War 2, Japan's social hierarchy was based solely on martial conflict and competition, which, admittedly, led to the event known as the Rape of Nanking, where an estimated 200,000 people were mercilessly slaughtered. Violence has led to bad things, most of all more violence, but that is still no excuse to try and censor it out of the media-- That's only going to make sure that people know less *about* it, and less able to prepare for it. Let's face it, what good would come of dismantling the U.S. military? Maybe there'd be less civilian blood on the country's hands. But, as Voltaire once said, "Every man is guilty of all the good he did not do", and it may even lead to more violence within and without the U.S, whose military force is essentially used as the world's moral police.

I've already ranted at least once about censorship and media, though, so perhaps it is a better idea to shorten the speech this time around.

It doesn't ever help me that my hands are oh-so-often covered in the blood of the people that made fun of my handwriting, and that, more often than there should be, my mechanical pencil is gummed up with throat-flesh.

Get it? I'm killing them with it.

And the lack of punctuation just gets to me! It's like a grammar-hating alien killed him right in mid-sentence (He was doing that one last, since the "I don't need a reason" option just *had* do go last), and erased all of the periods from his sentence Even worse now that has me thinking what would I do if that alien targeted me next Oh no He could be right outside just waiting to destroy my perfectly formed grammar and OH GOD WHATS THAT NOISE AAAH

And some of the only creatures to kill for fun, although there are more.

And, about the religion, I agree, SOMEWHAT. While I am of the belief that religion is an outdated practice and should only have existed to explain the things logic, reason, and science could, I don't in the slightest thing that it's the "most retarded" think that could have been thought of. That's an intolerant belief and is ignoring a number of points.

First of all, you made the broad and sweeping comment "Religion in general". There is nothing "general" about religion, and every aspect of it varies from religion to religion, sect to sect, and cult to cult. While some of them attempt to go against what has been explained and *do* blindly ignore logic and reason, which is true for most "fundamentalist" religions, others think nothing of the sort, and merely try their best to explain the things that cannot be explained, like afterlife. Others ignore these issues completely and act more like philosophies than true religions. There are hundreds, even thousands of different belief systems on the planet, many of which cater to just about any mindset you could think of (that doesn't involve spitefully ignoring them). And before you start to think that I'm trying to talk you into religion, I'm atheist. Not agnostic, but truly atheist.

As far as Jesus Christ being a lie, that too is (probably) false. Most historians are of the belief that Jesus did exist, but many of his "feats" were later embellished and sensationalized by those who came after him. He was more likely a political activist, philosopher and a preacher, but not a Messiah. That does remind me of one problem I have with many Christians, in that they pray to Christ and act like Christ is God, which Jesus is actually quoted telling his followers *not* to do. But that's not the point at all.

And, still, dolphins do murder porpoises and young dolphins just for laughs. That much has been documented (As much or more than them having sex for pleasure-- How would they know *why* dolphins get down?).

I will probably cry if this shows up in Miasmon, even if it's some kind of hidden content or something.

I will CRY.
