Rating Orb Blazimun, Neutral Evil Black Mage – joined 8 years ago War; what is it good for? Really, who wants it?83.70.XXX.XXX6 years ago
I don't support war, really, but I can understand what it's good for (essentially), and why people perpetrate it. These are just my thoughts, picked up from what I have experienced in life.

1. Greed. This is the most obvious answer. Your neighbor has a better car than you, you want it, and aren't particularly concerned about morals or law. What do you do? The easiest way to deal with this situation is to kill your neighbor and take his car. Most war can be put down to large scale versions of this, whether it is about money, land or more recently, oil. This is a rather simplistic view, but in my opinion, its pretty accurate.

2. Peace. Personally, I think that war is a roundabout way of causing peace, but it is a viable option. There are those who say that killing people is not the way to obtain peace, and that diplomacy is, but when I look at the news and see stories about terrorist killings or people killing each other for no particular reason other than a conflict that was resolved years ago in Northern Ireland, I have my doubts. "There are some people who only understand zee language of zee sword", after all.

3. Evil. While rare, there are some people who just want to rule the world with an Iron fist. History is full of examples of people such as these , like Ghengis Kahn or Adolf Hitler. This is probably the easiest to understand, as it is very simplistic. " I want to rule the world, people disagree with me, I'll kill the people who disagree with me.". This may be simplifying it a bit, especially in the case of Hitler (who had a reason for what he was doing, even if it was a despicable one, and probably thought that what he was doing was right... But I'm getting sidetracked here.), but I'm being general, not writing a history of evil dictators who wanted to rule the world.

I can probably come up with more reasons, but I feel tired right now. I'll probably edit more in later...

Rating Orb Blazimun, Neutral Evil Black Mage – joined 8 years ago Where's the argument for God's NON existence?83.70.XXX.XXX7 years ago
One thing which I feel should be mentioned. I believe in God, and have noticed that some people give the argument that if a god exists, then free will and choice are an illusion, or something similar to this motive. On the old forum, this probably would have gotten us all SO many diversion violations.

Right. If god exists, we have no free will, correct? According to a philosophical theory (Which I cannot remember the name of), WE HAVE NO FREE WILL ANYWAY. The quote from the creator of this theory is "We are all nature's puppets."

Our molecular makeup decides how we will behave. Water's dictates that it will remain still if it is on a level surface, and roll and flow if not, it will be calm if undisturbed, and move if not. Similarly, this argument states that a human's conditions and its molecular makeup will dictate how it behaves. A person with more natural testosterone will be angry, and similar things.

As such, I think that this particular argument is just human fear. I am NOT saying that this proves god's existence, I am just pointing out the pointlessness of this particular argument, as we probably don't have free will anyway.

Edit: I did mean not saying when I first posted this, sorry.

Rating Orb Blazimun, Neutral Evil Black Mage – joined 8 years ago Strongest attack - Spirit Nova - 6633 damage!83.70.XXX.XXX8 years ago
Spirit nova is a good attack, but it is not the strongest attack for a number of reasons.

1. The damage it does is purely circumstantial, an opponent on low health would hardly be affected.

2. It cannot do more than half health in damage without weaknesses to aether, and there are many moves that can outstrip it

3. It cannot affect opponents over lvl 40, so it is useless against most bosses.

Rating Orb Blazimun, Neutral Evil Black Mage – joined 8 years ago Genetic Engineering83.70.XXX.XXX8 years ago
I think that if genetic engineering was available, only certain people would actually use it. Those who want an easier lifestyle (No disease etc.), those who want cosmetic changes to their appearance, and people who want it for some other reason (The "Perfect human" thing seems to be an example of this). Personally, I think that this could also be used to create new races, which would be pretty cool, actually (I, for one, would LOVE claws and scales!). There is still the moral issue behind it though, and also the issue of people who believe we should only use what is natural. Just one thing, directed at the comment that Dreamgawd made, the part about not tampering with something that we could not tamper with in the first place. My response to this is that in nature, could we travel at over 200 miles an hour? Could we fly to other countries? Technology allows us to do things that are impossible for our race in nature, so do not provide this sort of argument!

Rating Orb Blazimun, Neutral Evil Black Mage – joined 8 years ago Make a disease!! 83.70.XXX.XXX8 years ago
First off, I hope that post was accidental, malfury...

Secondly... Boogermania.

This rather oddly named disease normally affects small children, and passes over time. However, it can spread to adults, and then it can become fatal. It is a disease which causes an addiction to your own mucus, and it progresses through multiple stages.

Stage one: You start to eat your own mucus repeatedly.

Stage two: You lose your friends due to your disgusting habit
Stage three: You run out of mucus
Stage four: Your finger hits brain and you die.
The only cure is sheer restraint and willpower

Next disease: Farfenderites.

Rating Orb Blazimun, Neutral Evil Black Mage – joined 8 years ago Atheism vs. Religions based on God83.70.XXX.XXX8 years ago
Hmm.... As a matter of fact, I have a rather confusing religion. I believe that God exists, but also that evolution and the big bang happened. One does not contradict the other.

For starters, the level of gravity in our universe is in the perfect level to support life. Had the level of gravity been even slightly higher or lower than it is, the universe would be completely unable to create life. We know this because scientists have created "False" universes to test what would happen if the level of gravity, or other factors, were different. As to this, I think that this offers a slight backing to my side (Not complete! I don't think any theory can ever have complete proof of their side. Hence the term "Theory")

So the universe can support life, and I find it extremely difficult to believe that this could have happened simply due to a random chance. Next, I will move on to our own solar system. Earth is the perfect distance from Sol (The sun) to allow for water to exist without evaporating or freezing. We have already seen what would happen if we were knocked away from the sun (The ice ages), and I don't think life could have been created in those conditions, though it could have evolved, as we have seen. If it were closer, we would have a surface akin to that of Mars. I again think that this gives support to my side.

On to the evolution of humans. I am willing to believe that certain species evolved purely due to chance, but that a species such as ours, with no natural defences other than our intellect could have evolved purely out of chance, I find very hard to believe.

Sorry if I caused any offence with my comment.

Rating Orb Blazimun, Neutral Evil Black Mage – joined 8 years ago Vudu, Mysterious Stranger83.70.XXX.XXX8 years ago
As far as I understand it, Lawful evil is trying to obtain power by manipulating a system of some sort. Lawful evil people turn out to be drug dealers, gang lords etc. A good example is Lex Luthor from superman. So Vudu is manipulating us, in order to obtain some measure of power from the rock. This will probably result in him losing his mind, and turning into some sort of plot-related boss fight! Now, we should probably make wild guesses as to what he'll do! Hooray!

Also, both Blatantly evil chancellor and Vudu are lawful evil, just to clear up that confusion...

Suprisingly, my best "Abuse" fight, as you call it, was against "Annihilator:Karnos". Karnos is extremely difficult, but I found a way of making all his attacks do 0 damage, and after I finished defeating him, my only thought was "That was awesome, I can't believe that Karnos could be that easy".

Rating Orb Blazimun, Neutral Evil Black Mage – joined 8 years ago Return of the Elements?83.70.XXX.XXX8 years ago
I liked the elements, and would definitely like them to come back. For one thing, they gave a lot of insight into what the person thought of themselves. I'm not sure about including the three new elements though, I mean, for a person to qualify for physical, they would have to have no emotions whatsoever, for thuama, they would have to be extremely reflective, even more so than aether, almost on a scale of a person who had no worldly concerns other than thought, and for divine, they would have to have the intellect of a god, and act as though they had the power of one. Maybe Pseudo could have divine as a joke though...

Violencionite

This rare non-metal is rarely used anymore. It was used very commonly in medieval times to solve disputes, but recent legislations have made its use illegal. It is activated by touching it off a person who has insulted, or slighted you in some way. It is found very often in movies about teenage people growing up.

Its effects are to compare the fighting skill, strength, and cunning of the two participants. The one who scores lower is turned into a version of themselves, but somehow injured.

Use of this material is strongly advised against, as it causes far more problems that it will ever solve, and usually ends up solving nothing anyway.
