I (Rating Orb A β Pseudolonewolf) compose music as a hobby, and for my games (though not all music I make is for games!), in the midi format, and most of it - years of work - is here to listen to for free.
There are advantages and disadvantages to the midi file format. It's great because the filesize is tiny; just a few kilobytes per file, meaning no long downloads. However, they may not play correctly for you, as their sound is determined by your own computer's midi player (since a midi is nothing but numerical data, telling different instrument sounds to play for different durations and at different pitches; the player provides the instrument sounds). They also cannot be put on mp3 players or anything like that in their raw format.

When you'd beaten the last boss, the ship was supposed to go into some kind of self-destruct mode or something, and you'd have to manually flee through the whole ship, backtracking all the way to the first room where Arkus' ship is. This music - in 7/4, which I basically never use - would have played. I think it's too slow for what it's meant to be for, but other than that, I was rather proud of it (largely because I'd successfully done something in 7/4, though)...

Before battling the last boss, you'd encounter Gruen again, who was probably infected with a parasite or something, and you'd battle him. This music would play; it's a variation of Gruen's Theme which also works the Parasites theme somewhere in there (though it's hard to notice).

As of the time of posting, this piece isn't actually in the game yet. It was composed as the theme of the parasites that are plaguing the generation ship; in 5/4 to create an unsettling mood.
It ALSO contains what was going to be the last boss music, after repeating the calmer theme twice... You were meant to battle the Parasite Queen or something predictable like that, and this variation of the calmer theme would play.
I don't know if I'll ever get to use it though, which is why I'm submitting it now instead of it never being heard by anyone.

I actually composed this one BEFORE Gruen's Theme itself, which isn't something I usually do, and pulled the leitmotif from this to use for Gruen's Theme...

Gruen is Arkus' rival, of a sort, but there would have been much more to im than that had I finished the game (I still might finish it, but as of the time of posting this, it's not done)... He's a gloth, who are usually devoid of imagination and strictly lawful and bureaucratic, but he's a pirate for some reason. Yes, a pirate like Arkus, who raids dead ships looking for loot.
He's sort of slimy and untrustworthy, and this theme is meant to show that. Don't know if it succeeds at all though.

It's meant to represent the nnengrals' longing for and sadness regarding the loss of their now-dead homeworld...
It plays once, when you defeat the Inner Quarters boss.

This one's in 5/4, and when I compose pieces in unusual time signatures such as that, I feel rather pleased when they turn out okay, since in my earliest days of composing, I struggled a lot to make them followable... O how I struggled!1
I use 5/4 a lot to create a 'mechanical' effect, since 5 seems more like a scientific/mechanical number than 4 due to our decimal-based number systems...

At the time of posting this, the Observation isn't finished, and has been in an unfinished state for a long time, making its presence in the game quite a mystery.
It was meant to be an optional area with some kind of ultimate weapon or silver keycard at the top or something.

I was really proud of this one for ages; it was one of my best pieces... It's old now and I've heard it so many times it's lost much of its effect, but I still like it.

A supposed-to-be strong and powerful boss theme... orchestral, again, rather than a techno feel as might be expected, and more passive than is usual for the genre (usually platformer boss music is fast-paced, heavy in drums, and adrenaline-pumping, or something)...

This has a sort of calm, passive feel to it, meant to evoke feelings of perhaps "pfft, is this all? I can handle this easily", or something, since that'd probably be what Arkus thinks about these mid-way bosses.

Also called Arkus' Theme, since it's the theme of Arkus Zei, the main character. It appears in many of the music tracks used in the Raider games.
It's a rather melancholy waltz, which might seem a bit odd for the genre (upbeat technoish stuff might be expected), but sort of fits Arkus' personality, maybe? I don't know. I like it, anyway.
It shares a chord progression with The Zombie!'s Theme, which appears in Deliverance and MARDEK 2, but it's not that.
